With the end of Adversarial April comes the victorious winners. . .THE GUYS! Though they were trailing the leading girls in the last three weeks, they came back and won the extensive relay race last night by 200 points and 10 feet. The girls started off leading the race but then the guys took a huge leap ahead. Finally in the end it came down to Lauren and Aaron Hight crab walking on the grass to the finish line. The girls by far had the most spirit and the most new friends join us, but alas, it is their fate to feed the opposite sex a Nice meal on a date to be determined! Good job guys! I really thought the girls had it this year. It was a close one!

Winter Retreat 09!

Our winter weekend at Sierra Pines was so much fun. These pictures are only a glimpse of our weekend. Once I get more photos that other people took on their cameras I'll add another slide show, maybe even a video of some super fun sled runs! God definitely blessed our time there. We had good heart to heart moments, hilarious skits, worship, games, Godly challenges, and Snow, Snow, Snow! If you missed out this year, join us next year, it's going to be even better!

Service Sunday a Huge WOW

The S.S.S. (Surprise Service Sunday) for February was so much fun. We had a great turn-out despite the rain, and all I can say is WOW! =) The W.O.W. ministry is a wonderful one that reaches out to local disabled people in our community. Every other weekend these young people along with volunteers gather to encourage each other and play games together. It truly is so much fun, and if you haven't checked it out-do so! You'll be glad you did.

Ice Skating Anyone?

Ice Skating in Folsom-so much fun! Cold, but super fun! Let's see here, who fell hard? Byron shook the ice. Sarah hit three times? Becky fell too, but I think that was because of Greg. Devenie and Megan fell. Oh and Josh and John Rugg got a little taste of ice as well. Good times!

Christmas Formal 2008

What a Super Fun party! We had a sit-down steak dinner for 60-65 people-the food was great! The company was great! And the dancing was even better! We played games, handed out prizes and hung out until midnight. Thanks to Paula Baldwin and Michelle Norman for washing and prepping 70 potatoes to be baked along with all their help with the rest of the kitchen set-up. 50 luminary bags were set up and lit by Maia and Alexia. Randy Baldwin was the BBQ MAN-he grilled tri-tip for at least 55 people! April Evans baked enough cheese cake, brownies and fudge for 70 people! Dan Barber hooked us up with the dance-dance-dancing Machine and helped transform our living room into a dining hall for 65 people. Shea played with my kids while I washed toilets and then he cleaned the whole kitchen after everyone was finished eating. And Joe Snyder probably put in a full-days work by the time he was done running all kinds of misc. errands for us! In other words this party was a huge success because of all the help we had. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Christmas Lights and Sleepover!

Friday night, we walked the streets of Rocklin and saw some wonderful Christmas lights. After we were pretty much numb from the freezing wind we went back to the church and warmed up with a few games of air soft and poker. We watched two movies, hung out, some crazy people had breakfast at Denny's at 2:00 am, and somewhere between the early morning hours of 1:00 and 5:00am we all fell asleep on the church floor. It was a blast!

Hike to University Falls

University Falls was amazing! We are going to try and hike this trail again and again over the years so if you missed out this time-don't worry. We'll do it again. It's that good! We saw amazing fall color, gorgeous falls (and no I'm not talking about the one I took on a slippery rock), a banana slug, a dumped car, and much more. God is beautiful and the wonder of His creation puts peace in our hearts.
